Office Closed on Monday
The Office will be closed on Monday, October 13, for Columbus Day. Fr. Samuel is available if anyone has an emergency.
Tuesday Lunch
Join your church family on Tuesday, October 14, at 1 pm at Casey’s for a no host lunch. Tacos are $2.50 on Tuesdays.
Evensong Service & Light Meal for IDOP
This Wednesday, October 15, at 5:00 pm we will be having an Evensong service and light meal for our community to honor those advanced in years. The International Day of Older Persons (IDOP) is celebrated for the whole month of October in our community. Jordan is organizing the service and Jo Stauffer is coordinating the meal. Please contact her if you would like to assist in food preparation.
No Men’s & Women’s Bible Study for the Next Two Weeks
There will be no Friday Bible Studies on October 17 & 24. Fr. Samuel has men’s and women’s Bible studies on alternate Fridays on the Gospel of John. The men meet at Casey’s at 12 pm on flex Fridays and the women meet in St. Andrew’s Room at 1 pm on non-flex Fridays. Notes for these studies may be found in the narthex the Sunday before. The next meeting is for the women on Friday, October 31.
Dinner for Age 70+
There will be a special dinner fellowship for those in our congregation that are 70 years of age or older on Saturday, October 18 at 4 pm at Nancy Dragovich’s house. There is no need to bring anything and there is no agenda except to fellowship.
Funeral for John Lorch
The funeral for John Lorch will be Saturday, October 25, at 10:30 am in our sanctuary. There will be an ongoing picture slide presentation with live music starting at 10:00 am. A reception will immediately follow in St. Andrew’s Room. Elizabeth will be providing sandwiches. We will be assisting with side dishes and desserts.
VBS on November 14 & 15
Be sure to tell all the K5-5th grade children (& their parents) that you know that there will be Vacation Bible School on Friday & Saturday, November 14 & 15, from 5:30-7:30 pm at CTK. Space is limited to 20 children so they will want to sign up early, starting Nov. 2.
