Daughters of Christ the King
The DCK will be meeting today after the service in the Rector’s Office for their regular monthly meeting.
Ladies to Meet on Saturday
The Guild of Martha & Mary (M&Ms) will meet on Saturday, October 11, at 1:00 pm in St. Andrew’s Room. All ladies are invited to take part in a special program, short meeting, and fellowship. Bring a snack to share if you would like. Beverages will be provided.
Makuach House Blessing
Please join Fr. Samuel, Rebecca, Jakob, and John at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 11, in their new home at 433 Perdew Ave, the Quinnelly’s former home, for a house blessing.
Office Closed on Thursday
The Office will be closed on Thursday, October 9, while Melody is gone to a wedding. Fr. Samuel is available if anyone has an emergency.
Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies
Fr. Samuel has men’s and women’s Bible studies on alternate Fridays on the Gospel of John. The men meet at Casey’s at 12 pm on flex Fridays and the women meet in St. Andrew’s Room at 1 pm on non-flex Fridays. The next meeting is for the men on Friday, October 10.
Evensong Service & Light Meal for IDOP
On Wednesday, October 15, at 5:00 pm we will be having an Evensong service and light meal for our community to honor those advanced in years. The International Day of Older Persons (IDOP) is celebrated for the whole month of October in our community. Jordan is organizing the service and Jo Stauffer is coordinating the meal. Please contact her if you would like to assist in food preparation.
Dinner for Age 70+
There will be a special dinner fellowship for those in our congregation that are 70 years of age or older on October 18 at 4 pm at Nancy Dragovich’s house (806 W. Felspar). There is no need to bring anything and there is no agenda except to fellowship.
Funeral for John Lorch
The funeral for John Lorch will be Saturday, October 25, at 10:30 am in our sanctuary. There will be an ongoing picture slide presentation with live music starting at 10:00 am. A reception will immediately follow in St. Andrew’s Room. Elizabeth will be providing sandwiches. We will be assisting with side dishes and desserts.
