Children’s Game Night
On Saturday, May 2, from 5:00-7:00 pm in St. Andrew’s Room, there will be a game night for toddlers and elementary age kids. In addition to a variety of games that will entertain the different age levels, there will be pizza, fresh fruit, chips and drinks. Parents are welcome to stay and join in on the fun or have a couple hours off.
Church Yard Sale
There will be a yard sale for our church at Nancy’s home, on Friday and Saturday, May 8 & 9. The sale will be from 8 am to 4 pm on Friday and from 8 am to noon on Saturday. Please be looking around your home for things you are no longer using and bring them to Nancy’s house on Wednesday May 6. Please contact Nancy to set up a time to drop your things off.
Seminar for Men and Women
On Saturday, May 16, from 10 am to 3 pm, we will be having the first part of a seminar led by Dcn. Judy Battershell entitled The Basic Gift Package from God. There will be a pizza lunch so please R.S.V.P. to Melody in the office if you plan to attend. You may bring snacks, desserts, or sides to go with the pizza. The second part of the seminar will be on June 13.
Vestry Meeting
Our regular vestry meeting is on the third Monday of the month at 5 pm which is this Monday, April 20. All are welcome to attend.
Baby Bottle Fundraiser for the PCC
Please pick up a baby bottle from Donna Randolph so you can collect loose change for the Pregnancy Care Center (PCC) for the next two months. Bottles will be collected on Father’s Day. Please return the bottles to Donna or the PCC.
Ministry on Base
Please speak with Fr. Samuel if you would be interested in preparing a monthly meal for the sailors on the base.
Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies Starting Again
Fr. Samuel has men’s and women’s Bible studies on alternate Fridays on the Gospel of John. The men meet at Casey’s at 12 pm on flex Fridays and the women meet in St. Andrew’s Room at 1 pm on non-flex Fridays. Notes for these studies may be found in the narthex the Sunday before. The next meeting is for the men on Friday, April 24.
Women’s Event: Created to Reflect God’s Glory
Women are invited to Immanuel Baptist Church (1201 N. China Lake Blvd.) on May 2, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm for a free women’s retreat centered upon being a reflection of God’s glory. Seating is limited so reserve your space early at www.ibcridgecrest.org.
