Stewardship Letters in Your Mail Folder
Please be praying about what you will give in the coming year. Your pledge cards are in your mail folder. Plan to return them on November 22, Christ the King Sunday. Also, consider giving an extra donation before the end of the year to cover church expenses. We are currently spending more than we have been given.
Thanksgiving Food Baskets
The Salvation Army will be providing us with two families to bless with food this Thanksgiving and Christmas. Items need to be brought to the office by next Sunday, November 15, as we will be delivering the baskets that next week. There is a sign up sheet in the narthex. Money may be donated for perishable items, if you would like to contribute in that way. About $100 is needed.
Garage Sale
There will be a garage sale for the church at Fr. Samuel’s house on December 4 & 5. Please arrange a time with him to drop off any items you would like to donate.
Second Tuesday of the Month Lunch Group Meeting This Week
This fellowship group will meet Tuesday, November 10, at 1 pm in Casey’s Red Room. It is Taco Tuesday. All are welcome.
Dinner for Sailors on Base This Week
Our next dinner on base will be on Wednesday, November 11, Veterans Day, from 4 - 8 pm. Please speak with Deacon Debby if you would like to be part of this exciting ministry.
Hymn Sing This Thursday
There will a Hymn Sing on Thursday, November 12, at 6:30 pm, in the sanctuary.
The Power of ONE Word Retreat This Saturday
On Saturday, November 14, there will be a retreat for men and women in St. Andrew’s Room from 9 am to 3 pm. Deacon Judy will be leading this retreat. Please bring a sack lunch, and a treat to share if you would like.
Men’s Bible Study Next Week
Fr. Samuel has men’s Bible studies on flex Fridays on the Gospel of John. The men are now meeting at Casey’s again. Notes for these studies may be found in the narthex the Sunday before. The next meeting is Friday, November 20, at 12 pm.
