Reduced Office Hours This Week
The office will be closed this Monday and Thursday and there will be intermittent office hours this Tuesday and Wednesday. Normal office hours of 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Thursday will resume on October 26.
Zoom Meeting With Bishop Keith
This Tuesday, October 20, at 5 pm in St. Andrew’s Room, the Vestry and Church Leadership will be meeting with Bishop Keith Andrews on Zoom. Anyone who is interested in hearing about how Bishop Keith is encouraging us to grow our church is welcome to come to St. Andrew’s Room on that day and listen.
Evensong Service This Wednesday
The date for the Evensong Service has changed to Wednesday, October 21, at 5:00 pm. Because there is so much going on this month, we have cancelled the IDOP meal.
Men’s Bible Study Next Week
Fr. Samuel has men’s Bible studies on flex Fridays on the Gospel of John. The men are now meeting at Casey’s again. Notes for these studies may be found in the narthex the Sunday before. The next meeting is this Friday, October 23, at 12 pm.
Church Barbecue at Leroy Jackson Park
This Saturday, October 24, from 11 am to 2 pm, at Leroy Jackson Park, there will be a barbecue for the whole church. The church will supply hamburgers, hot dogs, rolls, condiments, water, and paper products. Please bring a side or dessert to share and your lawn chair. There will be lots of fellowship and games for the children. Please come and bring a friend.
Diocesan Convention
Everyone is invited to attend the Diocesan Convention on October 29-30 at Trinity Anglican Church at 11300 Campus Park Drive in Bakersfield. Thursday includes a dinner and speaker with limited seating. The convention Eucharist service and business meeting is on Friday. There is a $40 cost for the dinner on Thursday and a $40 cost for Friday’s lunch and refreshments for the day. Please go to www.dioceseofsanjoaquin.net/convention to sign up. Vilma Garrett and Arnold Arnts will be our voting delegates along with Fr. Samuel.
