Hymn Sing this Thursday
There will be a hymn sing in the sanctuary on Thursday, August 20, at 6:30 pm. Come join us for an uplifting time praising the Lord with Jordan leading. We are having a great time going through the Gray Book.
We Need Your Input on a CTK Shirt
Barbara Arnts is organizing us having shirts made with our church’s name on them. She would like your input on what type of shirt and the design. Please write down your ideas and put them in the labeled container in St. Andrew’s Room.
Meal Ministry to Sailors on Base
If you signed up to help with the Wednesday meals on base once a month and don’t have a pass to get on the base, please turn in your form for your badge to Fr. Samuel by today or drop it by the office tomorrow. We will be starting our meals soon.
Back-to-School Baskets to Go Out Soon
Because of all the weekly donations of food that we have been given, we only need one jar of jam, nine bars of soap, and donations for the perishable items. Just a $5 donation per person would be helpful. Please mark you donation food baskets and place it in the offering plate. Please speak with Deacon Debby if you have any questions.
Bella Sera Service
August 30th is the fifth Sunday of the month which means Christ the King Anglican Church is leading the worship service at our local nursing home, Bella Sera. It is helpful to have as many members of our church there as possible to assist and encourage the residents before, during, and after the 3 pm service. Please speak with Fr. Samuel if you would like to help or need more information.
Men’s Bible Study Continues, Women’s Bible Study Pauses
Fr. Samuel has men’s Bible studies on flex Fridays on the Gospel of John. The men are now meeting in St. Andrew’s room at 10 am. The women have stopped meeting indefinitely. Notes for these studies may be found in the narthex the Sunday before. The next meeting is for the men on Friday, August 28.
