Hymn Sing this Thursday
There will be a hymn sing in the sanctuary this Thursday, July 23, at 6:30 pm. We are working our way through the Gray Book. Come join us for an uplifting time praising the Lord with Jordan leading.
Ladies Meet this Friday
M&Ms will meet at 4:30 pm this Friday, July 24 in St Andrew’s Room. Bring an appetizer, soup or snack, and a friend. Among other things, we will be planning the Ice Cream Social on August 7.
Lay Eucharistic Ministers Needed
We still could use an additional person to help serve during Sunday services. We will teach you what you need to do and you may serve monthly or quarterly on the fifth Sunday. Please contact Fr. Samuel or Phyllis Stewart if you would like to do this.
Sierra Sands Unified School District Party in the Parking Lot
Christ the King Anglican Church will be having a table at the SSUSCD Party in the Parking Lot at 1305 N. Norma (next to the old Albertson’s) on Thursday, July 30, from 6-8 pm. We will have information available about our church and will be handing out popsicles and pens with our church’s name, address, phone number, and website on them. Please speak to Fr. Samuel if you would like to help out.
Ice Cream Social
We will be having an Ice Cream Party on Friday August 7, from 6-8 pm in St. Andrew’s Room. In the parking lot, there will be a pool with a slide for the kids and a small pool for the little ones. Come and enjoy and use the enclosed flyer to invite an unchurched friend. More copies are available in the narthex.
Sunday Prayer Time
After this Sunday, we will be pausing our 15 minute prayer time in the sanctuary before the service. If you feel led to be in intercessory prayer for the church shortly before the service, please speak to Fr. Samuel. He would like you to join him in his office.
Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies
Fr. Samuel has men’s and women’s Bible studies on alternate Fridays on the Gospel of John. The men meet at Casey’s at 12 pm on flex Fridays and the women meet in St. Andrew’s Room at 1 pm on non-flex Fridays. Notes for these studies may be found in the narthex the Sunday before. The next meeting is for the women on Friday, July 24.
