Welcome to Fr. Richard & Martha Menees

Fr. Richard & Martha are visiting us this Sunday, right before they return to their mission work in Uganda. Fr. Richard will be preaching, and after the service, Martha will do a presentation on their mission work. Please be sure to stay and hear all about what God is doing through their ministry.

Pentecost Next Week

It will be Pentecost on May 24 this year. We commemorate this time when the Holy Spirit came down to anoint believers by wearing red and decorating with red, yellow, and orange balloons that are meant to represent the flames that were seen over believers’ heads. If you can help decorate, please come to the church at 9:00 am that morning. Please speak with Phyllis Stewart if you have any questions.

Bella Sera Service

May 31 is the fifth Sunday of the month which means Christ the King Anglican Church is leading the worship service at our local nursing home, Bella Sera. It is helpful to have as many members of our church there as possible to assist and encourage the residents before, during, and after the 3 pm service. Please speak with Fr. Samuel if you would like to help or need more information.

Office Closed Early on Monday

The office will be only be open until 10:15 am this coming Monday morning, May 18, so Melody my bring her mother for her post-op appointment at Loma Linda.

Church Barbecue

There will be a church barbecue on Saturday, May 30, from 11 am to 1 pm at Nancy’s home. The church will provide hamburgers and hot dogs. Please bring veggies, sides, chips, or dessert.

Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies

Fr. Samuel has men’s and women’s Bible studies on alternate Fridays on the Gospel of John. The men meet at Casey’s at 12 pm on flex Fridays and the women meet in St. Andrew’s Room at 1 pm on non-flex Fridays. Notes for these studies may be found in the narthex the Sunday before. The next meeting is for the men on Friday, May 22.

Baby Bottle Fundraiser for the PCC

Please pick up a baby bottle from Donna Randolph or in the narthex so you can collect loose change for the Pregnancy Care Center (PCC) for the month. Bottles will be collected on Father’s Day. Please return the bottles to Donna or the PCC.
